Cookie and browser-storage policy
This policy explains how VDSX Cloud uses cookies and similar browser storage on mumpixdb.com. It also explains which technologies are always active, which require your permission, and how to change your choice.
What these technologies do
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent back to a site. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB. Mumpix uses them only for the purposes listed below.
Essential storage
Essential storage supports a feature you explicitly request or records your privacy choice. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
The essential account shell may read the first-party authentication status already present for this domain so it can show whether NoKey is signed in and provide a working sign-out control. That status check does not enroll a device, create a new NoKey identity, or sync a workspace.
| Name | Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
mumpix_cookie_consent |
First-party cookie | Remembers whether you selected essential-only or enabled functional storage. | 180 days |
mumpixfe_local_tree_v1 |
Local storage | Stores the local playground data you create when you use the playground. | Until you clear site data |
mumpixfe_local_gen_v1 |
Local storage | Tracks the local playground generation needed to replay its state. | Until you clear site data |
Functional storage requiring permission
Functional storage enables NoKey device enrollment and sign-in, workspace sharing and sync, account billing access, and optional hosted typography. These features remain unavailable until you enable the functional category.
| Name or service | Technology | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__dsid |
Secure, HttpOnly first-party cookie | Authenticates a NoKey device session. | Up to 30 days or until sign-out/withdrawal |
mumpix-device-auth |
IndexedDB | Stores the local device key used to prove possession during NoKey authentication. | Until site data is cleared or permission is withdrawn |
mumpix-quantum-auth |
IndexedDB | Stores local post-quantum authentication key material. | Until site data is cleared or permission is withdrawn |
mumpix_quantum_token |
Local or session storage | Holds the current first-party quantum-auth exchange token. | Until sign-out, expiry, or permission withdrawal |
__mumpix_workspace_pull |
Session storage | Prevents redundant workspace synchronization during the current browser tab. | Until the tab is closed |
| Google Fonts | Third-party stylesheet and font requests | Loads the optional Syne and DM Mono typefaces after functional permission. | Subject to browser caching and Google's policies |
Analytics and advertising
MumpixDB does not currently load analytics cookies, advertising cookies, behavioral pixels, or cross-site tracking technology on this website. If that changes, the relevant category will remain off until you provide specific permission and this policy will be updated first.
Checkout and external destinations
When you deliberately follow a link to Stripe, npm, Discord, or another external service, that destination may use its own cookies under its own policy. Mumpix does not load those services into the homepage before you choose to visit them.
User-directed connections and app internet access
If you configure a Custom API connection or enable internet access for a generated micro app, that feature can send the data you choose to the endpoint you configured. Those requests are not cookie-based tracking by MumpixDB, but the destination may process data or use cookies under its own terms. Review the destination before enabling access.
Change or withdraw your permission
Use the Cookie settings control in the footer or at the top of this page. Rejecting optional storage is as accessible as accepting it. When you withdraw functional permission, Mumpix signs out the first-party session, removes local authentication tokens and key databases, stops loading functional scripts, and reloads the page.
You can also clear all Mumpix website data using your browser settings. Clearing the consent cookie will cause the site to ask again.
